Marcela Taboada is a mexican photographer who lives in Oaxaca (Southern Mexico). Her recent work "Habilitados" (Oaxaca, Mexico 2011) is a strong document about a Public Center for impairment and disabillity, where thanks to the help of the physical therapists these children and their families have a hope to a better quality of life.

"This portrait is from my Indonesian series "Distant Links" and was done in a small village called Padasan Pakem where the Merapi volcano erupted last year. This elder lady still works as a farmer in the rice crops. What attracted me was not only her beautiful spirit, but all the batik garments that surrounded her, that is part of a strong heritage of her culture."
